Study-Visit Delegation (Mali)

The Pan-Afrikan Reparations International Solidarity Committee (PARISC) emerged as a result of collaborative efforts within grassroots community networks and the International Social Movement for Afrikan Reparations (ISMAR) following the UK Afrikan Reparations Conference 2023 (UKARC) held at Friends House in London, United Kingdom.

Under the leadership of Bell Ribeiro-Addy, Labour MP, the UKARC was convened by the Secretariat of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Afrikan Reparations (APPGAR), comprising organizations such as the Stop the Maangamizi: We Charge Genocide/Ecocide Campaign, African Foundation for Development (AFFORD), and the Pan-Afrikan Reparations Youth Forum (PARYF). This significant gathering marked 30 years since the Birmingham Conference of the Afrikan Reparations Movement in the UK (ARM UK), originally co-organized by the late Labour MP Bernie Grant, alongside community formations like the Afrikan Liberation Support Campaign (ALISC) and the Pan-Afrikan Grassroots Educational Network (PAGEN).

The PARISC is dedicated to advancing Pan-Afrikan internationalism and facilitating the implementation of the resolutions and closing declarations from the 2023 UKARC. It stands as an integral, ongoing initiative within ISMAR, intricately linked with the Peoples Reparations International Movement (PRIM).

Functioning as a vital organ of ISMAR, the PARISC contributes significantly to the global advancement of the Peoples Reparations International Movement (PRIM). Its primary objective is to harmonize efforts worldwide towards achieving Pan-Afrikan Reparatory Justice, ultimately aiming for the transformative goal of Planet Repairs.

Comprising a Secretariat, Honorary Elders’ Presidium, and Action-Leading Panels (ALPs), the PARISC operates as a dynamic and integral component of the broader movement towards reparatory justice and global healing.
